Scorpion Bay chooses PRIME365 Fashion & Retail

Some case studies exemplify the virtues of the Made in Italy model, and Scorpion Bay's is certainly one of them.

Scorpion Bay started out back in 1977 as an underwear manufacturer, founded by Lucio Mistri in the Seriana Valley and, having moved on to contract manufacturing, is now a modern retail company with 45 single-brand shops with a recognisable brand that stands for freedom and adventure.

Scorpion Bay has never backed down from a challenge and, in keeping with family tradition, instead of choosing a standby strategy in these complex times, it has decided to invest in growth by renewing its corporate information systems.

That is why it has turned to Var Prime for the implementation of an ERP system capable of satisfying its new requirements for flexibility and integration with e-commerce and brick and mortar retail, as well as a business intelligence system to extract value from the company's data.

To satisfy these requirements, Var Prime has implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and integrated it with the PRIME365 Fashion & Retail vertical system and Microsoft Power BI: the result of the combination of Microsoft's cloud ERP for SMEs, the Var Prime vertical system for the fashion industry and the powerful Business Intelligence tool, has equipped Scorpion Bay with tools that will support the company in facing the new challenges of the market.

“We chose the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP system on Microsoft's Azure cloud platform because we were looking for an ERP with a modern interface that was easy to use but at the same time powerful, secure and comprehensive. With the PRIME365 Fashion & Retail vertical system, we were then able to integrate the standard functions of the Microsoft ERP with functions typical of the fashion industry, in both sales and advanced production and logistics.
Var Prime proved to be a competent partner with deep experience of the fashion industry, and was able to support us in this challenging transition to a new management system.”

Says Davide Marcassoli, Scorpion Bay ICT Manager.
