The Var Group brand is featured on the Lions' uniforms for the Guinness PRO14 and European Rugby Challenge Cup matches, as well as on the club's digital channels and on the pitch-side LED panels, LED wall and match programme. Over the years, the collaboration between Var Group and Benetton Rugby has led to renewing some of the team’s innovative processes, but it has also grown off-pitch with important training projects about the correct use of digital tools by young people and cyber security, as well as fan engagement activities.
Var Group & Lorenzo Lodola, together on a quad bike
Lorenzo Lodola is our youngest Ambassador at 19 years of age, and a lover of motorsports. In 2022, he competed in the Baja Aragon, a round of the FIM Bajas Hard Enduro World Championship, and the Rally TT Cuenca. Despite the accident which has confined him to a wheelchair, he has competed with record times. He has at least five races planned for 2023 and aims to promote awareness initiatives to amplify his most important message: disability is not a limitation, it is just a new perspective.
Var Group supports emerging golf star Martina Flori
Martina Flori, a 27-year-old from Montecatini, is the rising star of women's golf. On the golf course since she was 6 years old, even while studying in the USA she gained plaudits for her victory with the Ole Miss team in the SE Conference, the most important competition among university teams in the south-eastern US. After completing her studies and gaining some work experience in the world of golf, she decided to turn professional. In 2021, she made a determined return to play with the Ladies European Tour. Martina made her debut as a professional in 2022, and will compete in Europe and worldwide throughout 2023.
